Born in London, Ontario, Nick Suzuki grew up watching the Maples Leafs with the goal of one day becoming a hockey star. He dreamed about representing his country and playing for Team Canada. Suzuki knew he had a special talent on the ice, but he remembers how stressed out he was for the OHL Draft. However, when Suzuki heard his name called by the Owen Sound Attack, he knew it was time for business. After notching 38 points in his first season, Suzuki earned the call to play for Team Canada White in the World U-17 Hockey Challenge. In this tournament, Suzuki managed four total points in the six games played.
