The Umbreon ex (Sunbreon) has seen a lot of hype before the official release of Prismatic Evolutions. Since the spectacular rise of Umbreon VMAX (Moonbreon) from Evolving Skies, Pokemon TCG fans had big expectations for the top card from the set.
This begs the question... does it live it up to the hype?
Answering that question is tricky. The most honest answer is... it depends.
It depends on what you're looking at.
Is it the price or the artwork?
Right now, the Moonbreon from Evolving Skies has a lower value, between $2800 to $3200 for PSA 10 and ~$1300 for ungraded. The Umbreon ex, on the other hand, goes up to $8500 for PSA 10 and ~$1600 for ungraded versions.
In terms of who's got the better art, it's probably... the Moonbreon.
However, that is still subjective and depends on your preferences.
Overall...
Both cards are amazing and the higher value goes to the Umbreon ex from Prismatic Evolutions, but that will likely change over time.
